Dowry System

Dowry system is the process of giving some money and and properties to the daughter in her marriage.it is bad social evil which is existing in a society since many years ago in Nepal.it is hindering the development of a country.Although Nepal government has issued it as a bad evil and is trying to ban from a society,it seems to be unsuccessful because dowry system is still prevailing in many villages of Nepal especially in terai region.it is most famous in tharu community as they demands much and much dowry before marriage.dowry system is also one of the crime because we can heard time to time that many daughters are humiliated and even they are killed if she did not bring as much as dowry they demand.even her husband humiliate such girls.
So the dowry system is social evil.we all should raise our voice against such evil and help our Nepal government to stop dowry system from Nepal forever.thank you!!!!
